22...Springtime in New York
Rolling waters of river
bubbly currents pour.
Beyond white cascades
clouds of water roar.
Sounds of harmony
beating off the banks
Rippled smiles stream
caressing stones glad.
Prancing about each stone
birds in love to and fro
The driftwood still…listens
to this song I now own.
The lone duck upstream
a curiosity on its own
Passing by the seagull
sitting upon the stone
Cool shades of willow trees
Kind gentle breezes
The daffodils blooming
The young hearts kissing
Springtime in New York
can be lovely it seems
Beyond a patch of grass
a river rolls free.
