15...I sit and dream
I sit and dream
in urban sprawling
of snowflakes falling
winter’s charm calling.
White lakes frozen
married upon the land.
Clear waters streaming
underneath crystal slabs.
The eagle flies proudly.
Pristine wilderness intact.
The moose beckons loudly
on the willow stand.
The lone wolf trotting
across the tundra it runs,
moving to the rhythm
of Eskimo's sacred drum,
Majestic mountains
on a canvas of snow.
The nanny and kid
along hillside they go.
Drawn to its frontiers
the aurora of the sky,
winter magic spells,
the eagle in flight.
Steep sided glaciers
earthquakes and ocean storms.
The sole architects
of this crown jewel formed.
I’ve never liked the cold
though strange to me,
I close my eyes
and there I lone to be.
