167...Savage Gardens
I remember well taking you there
and being taken in by my lies.
You looking to tame my wild heart
I pretended your reins were tight
And in the savage garden I built
special for those who compromise;
wilted rose petals strewn about
among the dry leaves marked the plight
of those that listened along with you
Their voices still in the air saying " treat me right"
---------------------------------------------------------1
You offer thistle & thorns
beyond what lies in a savage garden;
Pain & pleasure blossom together
under your spell without a pardon
---------------------------------------------------------2
You seen me burn them before
in a savage garden which u were lured;
discovering names written
on stone altars that includes yours
---------------------------------------------------------3
The complex symphony of harmony
that is your song all over me;
made provisions to write our song
with magical endless varieties
---------------------------------------------------------4
A little boys curiosity
piqued in mother's direction asking;
how many people need her love?
As 1 stole her affection
---------------------------------------------------------5
My tears need to be contained
enough to speak the words
against those with Hoofs & Horns
letting our future, our children burn
---------------------------------------------------------6
I remember teasing you in fun
at the meticulous care u gave
your little plant in the window sill;
now black violets laugh at my pain
---------------------------------------------------------7
You stretch me thin through
your maze and corridors of feelings.
An emergency exit at the end run;
make up your mind or I'm leaving.
