163...Sonnet XCIII..The Last KIss
Lips parted to receive my last kiss.
Sanity lying on the very precipice
I pressed them gently as a last wish
from a state that did not dim your loveliness.
Before choosing eternity in the dark;
a sole ember stood and took its place
from the ashes where it laid apart
to be alighted anew.... to life in a blaze.
Death rudely took what belonged to me
but did not vanquish your significance.
Where once a fire inside you flamed
it found fuel without any resistance,
and settled in an ideal space in me
to breathe pure love back into existence.
