68...Sonnet XLIII
Do not be confused with my expressions
or my impressions of you as extraordinary
For all the meaningful things I've written for you
have not been said to another so eloquently.
Nor can I imagine at this vulnerable stage
denying the muse that is still to discover
the hidden depths and beauty of your soul
with verses in your name and none other.
Let the mystery of it all demonstrate how
uncomplicated it is to love you all the time.
Study my words, my emotions and mind
The sacrifice I make to your happiness in kind
at the accepted risk of compromising mine,
learn from this man, you matter much in my life.
