Which mask shall I wear today
as I step unto this stage?
Life has so many scenes
where the truth has no face.

Masks worn to hide the pain
hide the smile when it breaks
conceal the deafening cry
of fallen spirits from grace.

This scene will be unrehearsed,
masks shall not be needed.
Truth is the star of this epic role
this epilogue chapter unfolded.

There will be no encores or sequels
no audience to applaud.
These perfect masks I’ve collected
will be gathered and tossed.

Cast off the edge of infinity
with all my sorrows and woes,
shortcomings, flaws and frailties.
The recipe of a tormented soul.

I’ll take my final bow now
close the curtain one last time
but keep the spotlight on me
to remind you of my eternal smile.

Sitting here gazing through window pane
daydreaming with your smile beyond the sky.
Listening to the the clock ticking away
irreverent pendulum crying time.

Announcing all the seconds gone by
since last you were by my side,
slowly becoming the saddest hours
the longest days ever of my life.

Haunting poignant echoes of time
resounding with sobering reality,
emphatically remind me unkind

that yesterday is a far distant memory.
Today...I am left to wonder once again;
Who is loving you more than me?

your piercing eyes gazing at me.
Let the motions of your hands carry me
to that special place I lone to be.

don't leave me in this state of suspense
deprived of your loving touch.

mine eyes closed in quiet anticipation

to immerse me in your sensuality.

Lost in the softness of your skin,
delicate fingers engaging me,
your loveliness driving me wild.

Yesterday, time stood still in a moment of forever
as I held you close and sweet face caressed.
Your eyes closed, feminine wiles enchanting me
spellbound I stood at the edge of heaven.

From whence my kisses came as butterflies
to touch the tenderness of your eyelids.
An array of butterflies formed in gentleness,
kiss by kiss falling upon your sweet skin.

My darling how sweet it is to love you
What agony when I am not by your side.
Yesterday I had you in my arms

yearning to feel butterflies in my eyes
but that was yesterday, today I wonder
close my eyes, think of you as you were and sigh.

My sadness grows as something alive!
As weeds spreading wildly unrefined
gripping the roots of my broken heart,
dying slowly over and over with time

The sun does not shine as bright,
no longer blue are the night skies.
The moon does not look at me as before
I can’t find that special star of mine!

Faint laughter of defeat crawling
The hazy night proclaims me a fool.
Its my song, I’ve heard all this before.

Rhythm of life balancing cruel
confused on a tightrope with no net
asking myself again “Shall I play the fool?"

Listen one, hear me all.
Ye people of the earth!
See what man has created.
A Little Boy to bring chaos to order
in an orderly chaos
which is that of men.

He falls from the sky
in irony and shiny steel
Bringing life to death
and death to life.
A genesis of apocalypse.
Peace in pieces.

Behold the sphere of doom
in beauty and awe
a catharsis of atoms
irreverent logic and altered egos
that punctures the earth
and distorts the land

He bounces back up
towards the skies
from whence he came
through rings of clouds
as a token of this marriage
of earth and the sky.

First heaven interrupted,
Earth shaken
The mind shot down
the soul afoul.
A solution to no solution.
A mire of hopelessness and hope.

This is the imagination of man.
Who will protect us from us?
I've said nothing yet said it all.

Austere winds of change blow,
and the words "I Love you" do not ring.
The humble reins placed in your hands
have slipped through your fingers willingly

Falling into a sea of discontent
where once dreams sailed carefree.
Now wander off in the silence
on the wings of a distant memory.

Lost at sea, with heart in hand
picking up the pieces floating plentiful,
still ever so fond about you my lovely.

Pardon me for adoring you my beautiful.
Understand the words of a man in love.
Any other way... it's simply impossible.

a glimpse of heavens' delight.

I discovered the sweet fragrances
that filled the warm night air.

rolled gentle waves down my face
leading to the shores of our desires.
Where your full moon met my lips

From time to time I've glanced at you.
Recognized you as the twinkle of my eye,
the fresh spring waters of my fountain.
A fleeting glimpse of sun-ray in my life.

The sound of the rolling tides,
the wind song upon the seashore.
I always knew who you were,
much has been said about you before.

Thousands of verses written in your name
many a life laid down in scores,
sacrifices and tears abundantly allowed.

One day you passed my way as never before
and from afar I called your name "LOVE!"..."LOVE!"
But...it was not me you were looking for.

Perplexing twisted fates

of so many tears fallen.

We love what we can't have
Want what we don't need.
Plagued by "in love" disease.

Love irrationally unconditional
one who does not love back.
The eyes are so blind.

Need the constant rejection
of who does not want.
Yet gets all your attention.

I don't deserve to be in love
or maybe its vice-verse.
I can't seem to get this right.

What I am keenly aware of
Is, I suffer from "in love" disease

Where are the people?
Where is the nation?
Today my eyes wide awaken
where is my fellow Human?

My brothers, my sisters,
sons and daughters
of fathers and mothers
grandmothers and grandfathers.

In this mountain of sorrow
they've covered your face
with your brother's back
hiding you in this place.

The earth not in your eyes
or in your mouth to taste
the land of high mountains
from whence you came.

Now part of the rubble
part concrete part human
plowed neatly aside
as to be forgotten.

Where are the people?
Where is the nation?
Today my eyes wide awaken
where is my fellow Human?

Upon which rock shall be built
a peace from this hell,
restore the smile in those eyes,
lift this cursed veil.

Torn asunder by superstition
judgment could be understood.
Yet the dead do not speak,
only the living can turn good.

The piercing cries of sorrow
resound ever so clearly
to the heart it speaks volumes;
Is there hope in this misery?

The tragic events and forces of nature unleashed in the island of Haiti. The dynamics of the human elements that have unfolded, moved me to write these humble words.

Through mine eyes seeing their perspective from afar, inspired words from an undressed soul with compassion for my fellow human being. A voice amidst the noisy silence.

Though I am not Haitian nor have I ever been there, We are of the same race.........Human.

Showing me your marvelous galaxies,
beyond the peak of this phenomenon,
